Christmas market Arusha

Christmas is just around the corner! On the 16th and 17th November two of our projects took part at the Christmas market in Arusha. On the one hand, the focus was on the MamaMomella collection, following the current fashion trends which found great interest, especially among the ladies. We were also able to sell our  „Grow your own Ivory“ – T-shirts, the proceeds flow into the „Sparkling Elephant “ project, with a great success.

„Mwalimu “ was our representative for the Sparkling Elephant Project and the Conservation Fund. More glass beads were sold to accomplish „Mwalimu’s“ jacket to support the project. A quiz of how many beads adorn the glittering elephant in total was held and a photo competition rounded off the event. The prizes were weekend safaris, donated by the members of TATO. The Conservation Fund is comprised of three pillars for the conservation of elephants, „education „, “ anti – poaching “ and „create awareness “ – „Mwalimu“ was responsible for the recognition and the large established info-banners for the required education. These are printed in English and in Kiswahili for a better understanding.

In addition the atmosphere at Hatari Lodge and Shu’mata is becoming even more cosy and comfortable, as Christmas decorations herald the season. On Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve we are going to celebrate all together and are going to be culinarily and culturally coddled. Lots of surprises await our guests.
